NIESBUD, SKUAST-K collaborate to organise EDP on Agribusiness

Srinagar, June 20 (KNN) The Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) which is being jointly organised by the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) begins today virtually.

The programme on Comprehensive Agribusiness will be held from June 20 to June 30.

The inaugural function was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai and Director, NIESBUD, Dr Poonam Sinha.

Some of key speakers for the event are Prof Azmat Alam Khan, OSD to Vice Chancellor, SKUAST K, Prof Raihana Habib Kanth, Dean FoA Wadura SKUAST K, Naveed Hamid, BDA I&E Cell amongst others.

Sinha briefed the audience regarding the institute working model in Entrepreneurship and possible areas of collaboration with SKUAST Kashmir.

Khan deliberated on the need for programmes for  students and how SKUAST K has earned brand equity in arena of Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship and Startups. 

“Our goal through such collaborations is to sensitize the students and change their mind set to become more innovative and be the Job providers”, he added.

About 40 students of various faculties of SKUAST-K are participating in the entrepreneurship training conducted by NIESBUD. (KNN Bureau)
