New Delhi, Apr 16 (KNN) The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) is organising a workshop on using open educational resources (OER) in creating skill development courses.

OERs are digitised educational materials ranging from textbooks to lecture notes, assignments, tests, audio and video that are offered freely and openly to use and adapt for teaching, learning and research. The nature of these open materials means that anyone can legally and freely copy, use, adapt and re-share them.

Individuals like students, teachers, trainers, subject matter experts, content developers, managers and policy makers of education institutes community will be participating in the instructor led workshop on OER.

The training programme will provide the participants a platform to take advantage of OER to get ahead in their careers, expand and strengthen their existing skills and to participate in global OER movement that can open up new and exciting opportunities in the changing world of education.

They will also get practical hands-on experience in all aspects of creating and using skill development courses using OER. (KNN/ST)
