Nine more pre-shipment agencies named in different countries

New Delhi, Feb 3 (KNN) The Indian Government has added many more agencies for pre-shipment inspection for export consignments in different counters including Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Russia etc.

The pre-shipment inspection is a practice of employing private companies to check shipment details such as price, quantity and quality of goods ordered overseas. 

Pre-shipment inspection, also called PSI, is a part of supply chain management and an important and reliable quality control method for checking goods' quality while clients buy from the suppliers.

It ensures that the production complies with your specifications and/or the terms of your purchase order or letter of credit.

Directorate General of Foreign Trade, some of the Pre Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIA) that have been added for PSI are - Geo-Chem Inspection (Malaysia) SDN BHD, Malaysia; Global Mines and Minerals FZE, UAE; Cotecna Inspection India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai; Tubby Impex Pvt. Ltd., Delhi etc. (KNN/SD)
