NIT-C and INAE to organise online expo for start-ups in engineering sector

New Delhi, Feb 10 (KNN) The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT-C) and the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) have partnered to host an online expo to showcase innovations by Indian start-ups in engineering sector.

It is a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to encourage young engineers and entrepreneurs across the country and it will take place from 1st to 3rd April, 2022.

The winner will be awarded with total prize worth Rs 3.75 lakh NIT-C Director Prasad Krishna and INAE vice president Sivaji Chakravorti said while during the launch of its brochure.

They emphasised on the importance of hosting such an event amidst pandemic times and motivating young entrepreneurs and their versatile start-up ideas was emphasised during the programme.

Both the senior officials also discussed the importance of ‘Make in India’ for the advancement and self-sufficient growth of the country.

Clean mobility, agricultural technology, waste to wealth, skills and livelihood and digital healthcare technologies are the major focus sectors of the expo.

The partnering in organising the event has been undertaken by National Innovation Foundation, Incubation Centre of IIT Kanpur and IIM Ahmedabad, Kerala Startup Mission and Maharashtra State Innovation Society. (KNN Bureau)
