NIT Calicut organizing entrepreneurship development programme to help entrepreneurs set up MSME units

Calicut, Oct 5 (KNN) With the view to encourage upcoming entrepreneurs to set up MSME units, the Technology Business Incubator of National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C) is organizing an entrepreneurship development programme in Food Processing Sector.

The programme would be conducted for six months from October 19 to November 30.

The programme aims at imparting the required domain knowledge in the field of Food processing for those who aspire to be entrepreneurs in this field along with the essential inputs on starting their own ventures.

The Entrepreneurship Development Programme is being sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, is intended to guide prospective entrepreneurs to set up small scale industrial units in the field of food products.

The programme aims to guide budding entrepreneurs to set up small scale industrial units in the field of food products.

Through this programme, the participants will be given guidance to identify a project, and study its feasibility.

The participants will also be familiarised with the legal and statutory requirement for starting a small scale industry unit.

Persons possessing Degree in any branch of Science, Diploma/ Degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology are eligible to apply for the programme. During the six-week programme, experts from NITC, Food processing Industry, Financing Institutions & Government Departments would interact with the candidates on different topics. (KNN Bureau)
