New Delhi, Sept 15 (KNN) After successfully conducting 1st National Innovation Talent Contest (NITCP) in February 2017, National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR), Kolkata, established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has invited polytechnics for the 2nd NITCP, 2019 contest to foster innovation literacy for improved downstream innovation and productivity in the industries.

The key objective of the contest is to identify the levels of skills and innovation potentials of the students, teachers, and technical staff members of polytechnic institutes and to develop cost effective technological support to the society in the interdisciplinary domains of Engineering and Technology, so that common people of our country could be benefited from outcome of the contest.

In addition, this contest will help the industry gaining the access of young and bright polytechnic talents to launch new products and services into the marketplace through the Incubation Centre at NITTTR, Kolkata where the champions are expected to develop the final product.

Keeping in view of the daily usable products and services, the potential broad areas of interest for the contest includes Agriculture, Energy, Rural housing and Rural Communication by interdisciplinary approaches of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, and Mechanical Engineering.

As per the guidelines, the team must comprise of one faculty member as a coordinator, one technician or one faculty member with 3 students.

The Contest will be held on, February, 23 and 24, 2019 at National Institute Technical Teacher's Training and Research, Kolkata.
