North eastern region gets new PF offices

New Delhi, Jun 2 (KNN) The Employees Provident Fund Organisation has upgraded the district offices and services centres in Gangtok, Imphal, Aizwal, Itanagar and Dimapur to special state offices.
“The Special State Office shall be headed by an Assistant PF Commissioner level officer and would have an Enforcement Officer and other supporting staff,” said the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
With this, EPFO has taken the first step towards knocking at the doorsteps of its members in the north eastern states, it said.
The special state offices will focus on special work like compliance monitoring, grievance handling, claims scanning and forwarding.
The offices will be of great assistance and convenience to the EPF members belonging to the states of Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland for availing EPF - related services. (KNN/ST)
