New Delhi, Dec 4 (KNN)   National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) has called for innovative ideas, concepts and practices on skill development to facilitate their application on a wider scale, as part of its Skills Innovation Initiative.

“Selected innovative practices will be facilitated and propagated for wider application,” NSDA which comes under the purview of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said in a press notification today.

“Given the focus on skill development and entrepreneurship, and the keenness of all sections of the society to participate in the same, innovative ideas, concepts and practices are being developed and implemented by various stakeholders in the country.

The benefits from these ideas and practices often remain limited to a small group of organisations/persons, who have personal knowledge and/or some interfaces connection with the innovators.  It is felt that the benefits can be increased manifold, if these innovations are projected on a wider canvas,” the Government Order on the Skill Innovation Initiative said.

All proposals received will be screened, and shortlisted innovators/practitioners will be invited to make presentations and interact with a committee comprising of officials from NSDA, NSDC and Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Based on discussions between the committee and innovators, efforts will be made to propagate the relevant ideas and corresponding projects so as to benefit a larger number of beneficiaries in the country.

The committee will also provide all assistance to overcome obstacles, legal hurdles, problems of credit that prevent the wider application of such innovations, it said.  (KNN/ES)
