New Delhi, Apr 24 (KNN) The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) wants to strictly monitor the technical and financial performance of the NSDC project mandate and keep a note of the progress of skilling activities initiated by it through impact assessment.

In order to achieve the target for FY 2014-15 by NSDC, it is estimated that around 150 proposals will undergo the process of technical and financial due diligence during the said period, NSDC said.

NSDC was set up as part of the governments’ co-ordinated action in the skills space with the specific target of skilling 150 million people by 2022, mainly by fostering private sector initiatives in this area.

In this context, NSDC wants to rope in private agency to conduct technical and financial due diligence of proposals.

NSDC provides financial assistance in the form of loan, equity and grant for the purpose of skill development and to facilitate the creation of support systems required for it. (KNN/SD)
