NTPC to hold vendors' meet to discuss issues, wider participation

New Delhi, Nov 18 (KNN) Evolving a wider road map for more efficient participation of its vendors in the company packages,  NTPC wants to hold a meeting of the company’s top management with its vendors, associates and suppliers.

NTPC Limited (formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation) is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company based in the national capital.

“NTPC’s top management will interact with all NTPC’s vendors, associates and suppliers with an intention to try and understand any outstanding issues which remain in the existing contracts (closure, disputes etc),” NTPC said in a notification.

Further, the power company seeks suggestions on pre-qualification and short listing initiatives taken by NTPC recently.

The other agenda for holding the meeting is to seek suggestions on improvement of prevailing packaging concept being adopted by NTPC.

In this context, NTPC has called for emails from vendors who are willing to attend the meeting.

In case, the promoters/owners/CEOs want to have a separate meeting with the senior management after this open house, an email can be sent to the NTPC for a separate slot, it said.

NTPC's core business is generation, distribution and sale of power to state-owned power companies in India. The company also undertakes consultancy and turnkey project contracts that comprise of engineering, project management, construction management and operation and management of power plants. (KNN/SD)
