Nylon filament yarn from EU - Vietnam under DGAD scanner as domestic firms complain dumping

New Delhi, Aug 26 (KNN) Five domestic firms including Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals recently approached the Directorate General of Antidumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) and filed a petition demanding investigation against the European Union and Vietnam for dumping Nylon filament yarn which is harming the domestic industry.

The Authority observed that there is evidence of dumping from the countries mentioned in the petition.

Responding to the requests, the DGAD said that it has found “sufficient prima facie evidence” of dumping from these countries.

Also the authority is in the process of further looking into the matter and may initiate anti-dumping duty on the exports the said countries to protect the industry at home. (KNN/ DA)
