Onam handloom fair has turnover of Rs 5.99 cr

Kannur, Sept 4 (KNN) The Onam handloom fair held during the recent festival season registered a total sales turnover of Rs 5.99 crore.
A media report quoted the Handloom Development Committee officials saying that the 21 day fair recorded the sales turnover of Rs 5,99,42,283 as against Rs 5.25 crore in the season last year.
Total sales turnover at sales depots of the societies during the Onam season was Rs 1,68,85,490.
Onam handloom fair had been held under the aegis of the committee in association with weavers’ co-operative societies in the district and other parts of the state. (KNN Bureau)
