One Station One Product booths setup at railway stations over Visakhapatnam Division
Visakhapatnam, July 14 (KNN) Under the one station one product scheme of the government, the Waltair division of the East Coast Railway has setup stalls at Srikakulam Road, Singapur Road and Koraput station on Wednesday.
The primary objective of this initiative is to make each railway station a promotional hub for displaying local products thereby giving a major boost to local industries.
The booths were inaugurated by Divisional Railway Manager Anup Satpathy via video conferencing.
Earlier in March, Waltair Division had setup the Etikoppaka toys stall at Visakhapatnam station. It was followed by setting up of local artifacts stalls at Rayagada, Jagdalpur, Duvvada, Paralakhemundi, Singapur Road, Srikakulam Road and Koraput stations.
Local Kachela Agro Products Producer who are recognised by Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), have launched their stalls which comprised of local agricultural products and semi processed and processed food items at the Koraput railway station.
Similarly, at Singapur Road railway station, Maa Majhi Gowri Self Help Group has set up a counter displaying bamboo handicrafts for home decors.
Other senior officials who were present at the ceremony were ADRM (Infra) Sudheer Kumar Gupta, senior divisional commercial manager AK Tripathi, senior divisional signal and telecom engineer Deeptanshu Sharma and divisional Commercial manager Urvashi Kumari. (KNN Bureau)
