New Delhi, Feb 1 (KNN) The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced reduction of basic custom duty on items other than agriculture and textiles from 21 per cent to 13 per cent.

Custom duty reduced on open cells of tv parts, tv panels to 2.5 per cent, stating the indirect taxes will boost exports.

For compounded rubber, the FM has proposed increase from 10 per cent to 25 per cent or 30 kg whichever is lower.

The basic custom duty has been increased on electrical kitchen chimney from 7. 5 per cent to 15 per cent.

The FM has proposed to reduce basic duty on crude glycerine from 7.5 per cent to 2.5 per cent.  (KNN Bureau)
