New Delhi, Oct 25 (KNN) The central government is planning to come out with the guidelines to ensure standards and promote domestic production of drones, reported Daijiworld.

As per the report, the the Consumer Affairs Ministry is likely to release the guidelines this week. The ministry informed that the government may take assistance from the National Testing House while preparing the guidelines.

The primary aim of the government is to curb imports and manufacturing of cheap and sub-standard drones in the country.

While preparing the guidelines, various technical aspects of drone manufacturing like their flight capabilities and take-off as well as landing abilities, will be kept in mind,  reported Daijiworld citing sources.

The guidelines will also mention the encouragement to the domestic manufacturing needs.

With the Centre encouraging drone usage, the guidelines are expected to streamline their production and also ensure availability of top quality drones in the country.
