Commerce Ministry Launches Integrated Website, Mobile App to Enhance Trade Services
New Delhi, Apr 15 (KNN) The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a new integrated website for the Department of Commerce (DoC), aimed at improving service delivery and providing seamless access to trade-related information for exporters, importers and other stakeholders
The platform, compliant with the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) 3.0 and Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), is designed to enhance accessibility, transparency and efficiency in foreign trade operations.
As part of the initiative, the ministry has also introduced a bilingual mobile application, available on Android and iOS platforms, with features such as offline access and GPS-enabled services to facilitate user convenience.
The revamped website offers a user-friendly interface with structured navigation, multilingual support in 22 Indian languages through Bhashini integration, and custom display settings. It is fully responsive and accessible, including for persons with disabilities, in line with government standards.
Key integrations include linkage with government digital services and portals such as the Trade Intelligence & Analytics (TIA) platform for real-time data, CPGRAMS for grievance redressal, and the Parliament portal for automatic updates of parliamentary proceedings related to the department. The platform also incorporates social media integration to enhance outreach and engagement.
The ministry said the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen e-governance, improve ease of doing business and ensure real-time dissemination of trade-related information.
According to the release, provisions for continuous maintenance and upgrades have been built into the system to ensure long-term security, scalability and performance.
