Critical Minerals To Be Under Spotlight At Ministry Of Mines Pavilion At IITF 2025

New Delhi, Nov 13 (KNN) Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy will inaugurate the Ministry of Mines pavilion at the upcoming India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on November 14, 2025.

Spread across 1,500 square metres, the exhibition aims to offer an immersive and educational experience through thematic exhibits, interactive activities, and displays that emphasise the growth, innovation, and sustainability efforts of the country’s mining and mineral sector.

All Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and attached, subordinate, and autonomous organisations under the Ministry will participate, including NALCO, Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Geological Survey of India (GSI), Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL), Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC), and the National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM).

The participation will include all Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and affiliated organisations under the Ministry, representing key sectors such as mining, mineral exploration, geological research, and mineral processing.

A major attraction will be a special thematic zone on the National Critical Minerals Mission (NCMM), a key initiative designed to strengthen India’s critical minerals ecosystem.

Curated by the Ministry, the zone will feature the Non-Ferrous Technology Development Centre (NFTDC), showcasing advancements in the exploration, processing, and utilisation of critical and strategic minerals vital for clean energy and industrial growth.

Participation from the private sector will include Hindalco Industries Limited and Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL). Hindalco’s display will feature models of the Vande Bharat Express and Chandrayaan-3, symbolising the role of metals in India’s technological progress, while HZL will showcase innovations in sustainable mining and technology.

The pavilion will also feature exhibits by District Mineral Foundations (DMFs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), highlighting community development initiatives and locally made products supported through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes in mining regions.
