Increasing GST figure reflects growth in business and employment: CM Bhupendra Patel

Ahmedabad, June 12 (KNN) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday said that the record GST figures in April reflects the income surge and increasing employment levels across the country.

Addressing a public gathering at Bodeli in the Chhota Udepur district, the chief minister said, “ In April, the income of GST is Rs 1.87 lakh crore (which is a record) was historic. When do people pay the tax? When there is business and employment.”

During his address, CM Patel highlighted the developmental work and policies of PM Modi in the last nine years. 

“Modi started science schools in tribal areas of Gujarat, enabling tribals to be doctors and engineers,” he said.

Key persons present at the event included Devusinh Chauhan, Union minister of state for communications and Lok Sabha MP from Kheda constituency, along with local BJP MPs, MLAs, and party office bearers.

The event was held to mark the completion of nine years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.   (KNN Bureau)
