New Delhi, Feb 1 (KNN) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled ambitious plans to strengthen India's toy manufacturing and food processing sectors during her Union Budget 2025 presentation.

The government will implement a comprehensive scheme aimed at establishing India as a global toy manufacturing hub, though specific details of the initiative remain forthcoming.

The Finance Minister also announced the establishment of a National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management in Bihar, marking a substantial investment in the state's agricultural infrastructure.

According to Sitharaman, this institution will serve multiple purposes, focusing on agricultural value addition, skills development, and entrepreneurship training.

The Minister emphasized that the institute is expected to generate enhanced income opportunities for farmers while simultaneously creating employment prospects for the region's youth through specialized training programs and technological advancement in food processing.
