New Delhi, Apr 6 (KNN) Tech giant Apple on Wednesday confirmed that it will open its first retail store in India soon.

The company also shared a glimpse of its first ever retail store in India. The retail store is named 'BKC Apple' and it would be opened in Mumbai. 

Though the formal date of opening is yet to be announced, reports state that the retail store will commence operations in April.

The first retail outlet is being opened in India at a time when Apple is witnessing growth in demand for its products like the iPhone. 

There is a lot of potential for Apple to grow in the smartphone segment in India, as India has the second biggest market for smartphones. 

The retail store would be located inside the World Drive Mall at Bandra Kurla Complex.

There are also reports that another retail outlet could soon come up in Delhi. (KNN Bureau)
