Jitin Prasada Inaugurates STQC Lab Automation Portal To Boost Digital Governance
New Delhi, Feb 9 (KNN) Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Jitin Prasada,on Monday inaugurated the Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Lab Automation Portal – SATYA, a major digital initiative towards digital governance.
In his address on the occasion, the Minister emphasised that governance in the digital era goes beyond policymaking and must focus on ease, transparency, accountability and trust.
He said the SATYA Portal marks an important step towards citizen-centric digital governance and improved public service delivery.
The STQC Directorate plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, security and reliability of electronic and IT products and services in the country.
With the launch of the Lab Automation Portal, STQC’s services have been integrated into a single, user-friendly digital platform, benefiting citizens, industry, startups, MSMEs and government departments.
The portal is expected to ensure faster service delivery, greater predictability and enhanced confidence in the certification process for industry and citizens.
For startups and MSMEs, it significantly reduces procedural burden and facilitates quicker market entry of compliant and secure products.
Speaking on the occasion, S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, said that the SATYA Portal represents a major step in modernising STQC’s service delivery through end-to-end digital processes.
He noted that leveraging technology would enhance transparency, efficiency and trust, while ensuring wider accessibility of quality certification services.
Highlighting the importance of cybersecurity, data protection and product quality, the Minister said platforms such as SATYA contribute to building a trusted digital ecosystem and support India’s emergence as a global technology and manufacturing hub.
Jitin Prasada encouraged citizens, industry, startups and government organisations to actively use the portal and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
