Nirmala Sitharaman Announces Expansion Of PMs Research Fellowship, 10,000 New Fellowships: Budget 2025

New Delhi, Feb 1 (KNN) In the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a significant expansion of the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme. 

Over the next five years, the government will offer 10,000 fellowships aimed at advancing technological research at prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). 

The initiative will also provide enhanced financial support to ensure the growth and success of these research projects.
