Vedanta inks MoU with MeitY-Nasscom CoE to drive technological innovation

Bengaluru, June 19 (KNN) Vedanta Spark, a global corporate innovation has entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) and NASSCOM's Centre of Excellence (CoE) - IoT & AI to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies and foster innovation-led growth in various sectors.

The partnership will explore the application of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR) across various verticals within the Vedanta Group.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the NASSCOM CoE event, attended by Amitesh Sinha, Head of Vedanta Spark, and Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO of MeitY-NASSCOM CoE, along with the NASSCOM CoE team from Bangalore.

Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson at Hindustan Zinc Limited and Non-Executive Director of Vedanta Limited said, “Vedanta's engagement with NASSCOM CoE will provide innovative startups with a unique ecosystem to demonstrate and develop their products.”

“It aims to deliver accelerated value across our operations, utilizing emerging technologies to find solutions that contribute to long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability,” she said.

Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO of MeitY-NASSCOM CoE said that the collaboration aims to support the development of cutting-edge technologies that can be applied in intriguing use cases across the mining, oil, and gas sectors.  (KNN Bureau)
