Week-long camp for Conformity Certificate for reflector on bicycles

Ludhiana, June 23 (KNN) The United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association (UCMPA) is organising a seven day camp till 30 June, 2023 for registration of Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for fixing reflector on bicycles as per BIS Standard.

This rule will be applicable from 1 July, 2023 as per the guidelines of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Department of Consumer Affairs.

Officers from BIS will be present all seven days to facilitate the members in completing the formalities of registration.

A copy of GST certification including all three pages, and updated copy of Udyam registration will be required.

This campaign is being organised because despite given a time period of 5 months procure BIS-certified reflectors on bicycles, majority of micro, small units have failed to do so.

Only a few factories and traders have applied for the mandatory Certificate of Conformity (CoC).  (KNN Bureau)
