PlastIndia 2015 to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from Feb 5-10 next year

New Delhi, Oct 24 (KNN)  To promote the development of the Indian plastics industry and to assist the growth of plastics and related materials and their products, PlastIndia 2015 will be held next year.
 
The 9th international plastics exhibition and conference – PlastIndia 2015 will take place in the newly built exhibition centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from February 5-10, 2015.
 
“PLASTINDIA 2015 is all set to create new milestones, and scale newer heights as has been the tradition of every PLASTINDIA exhibition. The strong growth that the plastics industry has witnessed in the recent past and continues to do so today will only help in making this PLASTINDIA, a resounding success,” an official release said.
 
According to the PlastIndia Foundation, between 2013 and 2020, in India, plastics consumption is set to increase from 12 MMTA to 20 MMTA; exports from USD 6 billion to 8 billion as well as direct and indirect employment from 1.2 million to 2 million.  
 
The event is expected to see about 150,000 visitors and 2000 exhibitors from the world over, the exhibition spread over a sprawling 125,000 sq. metres of the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre.
 
Further, concurrent events like Proplast, Plasticon Awards and International Conference will be held alongside PlastIndia 2015.
 
Organiser of the event, PlastIndia Foundation is an apex body of major associations, organisations, and institutions connected with plastics including Government and Semi-Government Organisations.
 
The main objective of the Foundation is to promote the development of Indian plastics industry and to assist the growth of plastics and related materials and their products. It is dedicated to the national progress through plastics and is striving hard to make India a preferred sourcing base for plastics products for the world. Working as a catalyst, the Foundation works to build awareness of the significant contribution made by plastics to society and the environment.
 
It also creates a positive policy framework with all statutory entities and increases per capita consumption of plastics, encourage exports thereby significantly contributing to national growth.
