PM Modi launches Stand-Up India initiative; says job seeker would now be a job giver

Noida, Apr 5 (KNN) With the view to encourage entrepreneurship amongst SC/ST and women communities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Stand-Up India initiative here today.

Stand-up India is an endeavour to support SC/ST and women entrepreneurs.

Modi said, “Babu Jagjivan Ram made India very proud. Today on his birth anniversary 'Stand up India' is being launched.”

During the launch, Modi also gave away loan certificates to new entrepreneurs at the launch.

'Stand up India' aims to empower every Indian and enable them to stand on their own feet, the PM said.

He said that with the initiative, job seeker would become a job giver.
