PM to launch Jan Samarth portal, a direct link to govt credit schemes

New Delhi, June 6 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Jan Samarth portal today which is a national portal and is a link to all credit schemes by the central government.

The presentation of the portal will take place during the `Iconic Week Celebrations` (June 6 to11) of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The one-stop digital portal will directly connect beneficiaries to lenders to serve its main purpose of encouraging inclusive growth and development of various sectors by guiding and providing them with the right type of government benefits through simple and easy digital processes.

As of now 13 government schemes are already on Jan Samarth and more to be on-boarded in the future.

The portal will check eligibility, give in-principle sanctions and send the application to the selected Bank. It will also keep the beneficiaries updated at each stage of the journey.  (KNN Bureau)
