PM to launch National Logistics Policy on Sept 17 in New Delhi
New Delhi, Sept 12 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the National Logistics Policy (NLP) on September 17, 2022 in the national capital.
The NLP has been drafted to complement the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP) which involves suggestion of the industry and stakeholders.
The policy is expected to address the components of improving efficiency in services and human resource through streamlining processes, regulatory framework, skill development, mainstreaming logistics in higher education, adoption of suitable technologies.
In February 2019, the draft national logistics policy was released seeking comments and suggestions.
During her budget speech for 2020-21, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that the NLP will clarify the rules of central, state governments and regulators.
PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP) was launched for integrated infrastructure development in the country with a transformative approach for improving logistics efficiency and reducing logistics cost. (KNN Bureau)
