New Delhi, Dec 16 (KNN) The German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) in partnership with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and 91springboard, has launched promoting acceleration of investments in social enterprises (PRAISE) programme to recognise and support social enterprises in India.

It will help fill the gap in the responsible financing ecosystem an access to finance and especially different financing options including debt instruments, continues to remain a challenge for social enterprises.

“The key focus of PRAISE is to provide easier access to capital and financing to social entrepreneurs by assisting them in shaping the enterprise to become investment ready on fronts other than the business alone,” said an official statement.

The accelerator covers aspects like founders’ agreements, compliances, fund requirements, target investors, debt structuring and accounts overview.

The PRAISE programme will help sort specific issues to raise investments, more than serving as a general accelerator – assuming business and strategy is taken care of.
It will have elements that are physical and virtual and an enterprise can expect a 6 to 8 week engagement in total to prepare them for investments.

Apart from the talks and workshops for the selected startups, the enterprises will also benefit largely from the involvement of SIDBI and other leading impact investors.

The rich network of PRAISE provides the Social Enterprises with a strong platform to grow. Applications are now open and will close on January 2 - more information can be found here: http://praiseprogram.com/  (KNN Bureau)
