Providing exit option to tobacco growers, Govt allows transfer of licensed barns within same soil region for AP & K’taka farmers
New Delhi, Oct 31 (KNN) Union Commerce & Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has recently taken several initiatives to boost trade and improve ease of doing business in the county.
The members belonging to Federation of All India Farmers Association met Sitharaman last week.
In a series of tweets, Commerce Ministry said, “To provide an exit option & ameliorate the hardships of tobacco growers, Sitharaman has approved the transfer of licensed barns within same soil region up to 31st March 2017 for Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka farmers.”
Further, the Ministry also tweeted that in-principal approval has been given by the Minister to to Wardha Sakhar Karkhana Ltd for development of SEZ in Mouza:Jamner&Kharassi, Maharashtra.
“The 86.15 ha Biotech SEZ has a proposed investment of Rs 131.32 cr with 5-year projections of Rs 2600cr exports & 12500 employment,” the Ministry further tweeted.
Also, in-principal approval has been given to M/s North Mumbai International Commodity Pvt Ltd for development of 60.70 ha Free Trade and Warehousing Zone SEZ at Kaman Bhiwadi Road, Maharashtra. (KNN Bureau)
