Punjab Govt-GIZ organizing workshop with BMOs from clusters for fostering innovation among MSMEs

New Delhi, Nov 30 (KNN) The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH are jointly organizing a stakeholder consultation with Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) of MSMEs from industry clusters across Punjab.

As many as 40 BMOs from leading industry clusters in Punjab including Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Mohali, Phagwara and Patiala are expected to participate in the workshop.

The workshop, to be held in the third week of December at Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali, would focus on ‘Innovation Facilitation Services by BMOs’.

According to the organizers, this workshop intends to identify critical needs of MSMEs in industrial clusters across Punjab in order to foster sustained innovation among MSME ecosystem. Further, this would lead to identification of critical innovation facilitation services to be provided by BMOs along with appropriate mode of delivery with respect to all key stakeholders.

The event is being organized as a part of the Indo-German bilateral project ‘Innovation, Modernization & Qualification’ (MSME INNO) and implemented jointly by Ministry of MSME, Government of India and GIZ.

Additional, Chief Secretary, Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab, Vini Mahajan along with and GIZ India representatives will be present at the event.
