QCI to organize Zero Effect Zero Defect awareness program for MSMEs in Mysore

New Delhi, Oct 20 (KNN) Eying at facilitating awareness among the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region with regard to the Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) program, the Quality Council of India (QCI) will be conducting program for the MSMEs in Mysore.

The prime objective of the programme is to create proper awareness in MSMEs about ZED Manufacturing and motivate them for assessment of their enterprises for ZED rating. The programme further aims to drive manufacturing with adoption of Zero Defect production processes without impacting the environment (Zero Effect).

A press release by the Mysore Industries Association (MIA) said that by adopting ZED, MSMEs can reduce wastage Increase productivity.  Also the ZED Certified units will get preference in purchase by Central and State Public sector undertakings, the release added.

The program is free for the MSME entrepreneurs with no participation fee but as the admission is restricted to 70 on first cum first serve basis , Industrialists are requested  to register through online at Mysore Industries Association (MIA), KIADB, KRS Road, Mysore or Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Council (MSMEC), No.1090, Near Mysore Law Court, Chamarajpuram, Mysore, the release added.

Interested participants may also register online via ZED’s official website. The last date for the registration of the program is set to 26th of October.

QCI will be conducting these programs in association with Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, District Industries Centre, Mysore, Mysore Industries Association and Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Council, Mysore in November. (KNN/ DA)
