RBI blacklists Daman based NBFC; one other Delhi based NBFC surrenders certificate

Mumbai, Oct 15 (KNN) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cancelled the certificate of registration of Daman based M/s Comfort Intech Limited, a non-banking financial institution (NBFC).

New Delhi based Madhu Muskan Leasing and Financing Private Limited has surrendered its certificate to the apex bank.

In a statement, RBI said it has cancelled the certificate of registration of the M/s Comfort Intech Limited in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

These companies cannot transact the business of a non-banking financial institution as laid down under clause (a) of Section 45-IA of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, RBI added.

Recently, RBI has cancelled the certificates of 7 NBFCs and 5 other had surrendered their certificates. (KNN Bureau)
