Mumbai, Dec 15 (KNN) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday met select bankers in the public and private sector today to discuss various issues.

During the meeting RBI and the bankers discussed various issues including the asset quality of banks and the way forward on improving the quality of bank balance sheets. The discussions will continue, said RBI in a press release.

Dr. Raghuram Rajan, Governor, RBI chaired the meeting. R Gandhi and S S Mundra, Deputy Governors were also present along with other senior officials from banking regulation and supervision departments. The meeting was attended from the banking sector by bank Chairmen and MD&CEOs. (KNN Bureau)
