RCMC applications through online mode compulsory for exporters from April 1

New Delhi, Feb 28 (KNN) The union government has made it compulsory for exporters to file the Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) applications through a common digital portal which is applicable since 1st April 2022 to help trading community with ease of doing business.

Exporters require a RCMC in order to avail benefits under the foreign trade policy.

With the certificate exporters can avail benefits with respect to customs and excise.

This was announced by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), the electronic platform to facilitate electronic issuance/renewal/amendment of RCMC/registration certificate (RC) has been implemented.

The objective of the platform is to provide an electronic, contact-less single window for RCMC/RC related processes.

All regional authorities have been requested to ensure that they are on board on eRCMC portal before 31st March, 2022. (KNN Bureau)
