Revised interest equalisation scheme to be notified soon: Commerce Secy

New Delhi, Feb 3 (KNN) An improved and modified interest equalisation scheme for exports will be notified soon, Commerce Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam told the media as he spoke about the budget calling it exporter friendly. 

He said that the scheme has been approved by the Cabinet and is expected to be notified anytime soon.

Extension of the interest equalisation scheme has been demanded by the export community including federations such as FIEO. 

The scheme will help the exporters’ community along with the other promotional initiatives taken by the Ministry last year.

“The country will achieve USD 400 billion exports target during the current financial year,” he stated. 

For the next target, the Ministry of Commerce will consult the export promotion councils around 15th March, 2022, he said. (KNN Bureau)
