Rs 1.5 crore grant available for bilateral industrial R&D projects

New Delhi, July 3 (KNN)The Government of India is planning to release a grant of 1.5 crore which is available for bilateral industrial Research and Development projects under India and Republic of Korea applied R&D Programme 2015 and India Finland Industrial Technology, R&D  and innovation programme.
 
Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, the Global Innovation & Technology Alliance (GITA) is inviting industrial R&D project proposals from Indian industry, GITA said in an RFP document.
 
 
To qualify, the aspiring companies should be working on an industrial R&D project in the areas of - Robotics & Automation; Cleantech: Waste Management, Clean Water and Energy Efficiency; ICT including ESDM; Cleantech for applications in Energy, Transportation, Water, Sanitation, Waste Management etc ; or ICT including ESDM for applications in various sectors.
 
The funding is available under DST’s India-Republic of Korea Joint Applied R&D Programme with Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning (MSIP), Government of Korea through National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and DST’s India-Finland Industrial Technology, R&D and Innovation Programme with Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation respectively, the RFP document added.
 
As per the Government of India, the objective of this programme is to respond to the global issues concerning science and technology while developing technologies that can be commercialised and localised within 2 years of joint cooperation between India and Republic of Korea. (KNN/Zeba)
