Rs 93 cr loan disbursed to farmers, entrepreneurs in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 8 (KNN) Under the Amrit Mahostav program, loan worth Rs 93.93 crore was disbursed among farmers, entrepreneurs and businessmen by district banks during a custom public relation campaign organised at Ravindra Bhavan, Jamshedpur.

This event was conducted on the directives of the department of financial services, Government of India.

The main objective was to intensify economic activity among all the stakeholders and customers by ensuring the availability of credit to the masses, farmers, entrepreneurs and businessmen under the welfare schemes of the central government.

Under financial inclusion, the public is to be covered by social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.

Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadav stressed on activating the dormant account, insisting the bank to open the accounts of school children so that they can be given scholarship on time.

“A total amount of 45 crore has been distributed among 4500 footpath vendors among footpath shopkeepers,” she added.

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato specially mentioned the sevika didis who came to the fair and praised their active participation in various schemes of the government.

He further added that loan fairs should be organized at the block level also and the language of banners, posters, banking information should be kept local so that the local villagers can convey their needs to the bank in their own language and various.

Leading district manager of Bank of India Santosh Kumar informed that under the fair, various schemes of Central Government and State Government like KCC, Self Help Group, PMSvanidhi, NULM, PMEGP, Pleasure and Small Industries MSME, Retail Loan, Mudra Yojana.  (KNN Bureau)
