Rubber and Plastic industry in Tamil Nadu generates 4,500 jobs

Chennai, July 1 (KNN) In the current fiscal year of 2022-23 the Rubber and Plastic industry in Tamil Nadu is opening up over 4,500 vacancies.
This development regarding apprenticeship and job opportunities in the sector was confirmed by Deepmala Moorjani, senior manager – industry connect, Rubber, Chemical & Petrochemical Skill Development Council (RCPSDC) at a recently held skill meet in Chennai.
Tyre and parts majors like MRF, Ceat, Apollo Tyres, Sundaram Industries, Minda, JBM Auto and Emerald Tyres along with other large players have shown interest in hiring skilled manpower, said said Annamma Jacob, regional manager – south, RCPSDC.
The state comprises of about 6,000 rubber and plastic manufacturing industries.
Representatives from 50 companies in the rubber, chemical and petrochemical sectors were present at the skill meet.
These included Foams India, Altek Chemicals India, Rialto Enterprises, Scorpion Polymers, Emerald Resilient Tyre etc. (KNN Bureau)
