‘SEVA’ mobile app launched to track Coal dispatch

New Delhi, May 24 (KNN) Union Minister of State for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines Piyush Goyal recently launched the Saral Eindhan Vitaran Application (SEVA) aiming to facilitate the industry connect with the coal companies by proving information of coal dispatch.

The application helps track coal dispatch to 118 power plants through Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA), dispatch through special forward E-Auction and Bridge Linkage from over 200 dispatch points.

During the launch event, Goyal said that the application is in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of Digital India and E-governance. He further informed that the application will help the Power, Coal and NRE Mines and the industry that orders for coal come on a common portal. 

He further said that by using this application, not just the industries that require coal for operations will benefit but even the common man will be able to benefit from the mobile app. The application will allow scope for holding the government accountable for the coal linkage allocations and will be an instrumental tool to check for inadequacies and inefficiencies in coal consumption and power generation process.   

He also informed that the SEVA dashboard provides information on quantity of coal dispatched along with the grades. It also provides data on rake movement including updated status of indents of rake, allotment and loading.

Also there is a dedicated section to lodge complaints and register feedback on the portal. (KNN/ DA)
