Seven AAU-incubated agri startups bag Rs 68 lakh grant

Vadodara, July 13 (KNN) The Union ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare under its agribusiness incubator project granted Rs 68 lakh to seven agri-startups incubated at the Anand Agricultural University (AAU) in Gujarat.

The funding was authorised under the Remunerative Approach for Agriculture and Allied sector Rejuvenation scheme of the central government.

The startups that were awarded with the funds include honey veda, vinglob greentech, teaology, chlorohemp agrotech, masabi agritech, pianta blossoms and upadhye farmers support service.

These agri-startups are working in various areas of agriculture, honey processing, oil seed extraction, food processing, agricultural implement manufacturing, waste to wealth and e-marketplace for farmers.

AAU vice-chancellor Dr K B Kathiria conferred the first instalment of the grant.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by various university officers including Dr M K Jhala, director of research and dean of post-graduate studies, Dr G R Patel, registrar, Dr Samit Dutta, dean among others.  (KNN Bureau)
