SIDBI, MIA organises health checkup camp for women in MSMEs

Mohali, Mar 12 (KNN) Small Industries Development bank of India (SIDBI) and Mohali Industries Association on Thursday organised a Health Checkup Camp for women in association with Fortis Hospital Mohali here at MIA Bhawan.

The camp was organised for women by the Women Entrepreneurs Committee of MIA. Raminder Kaur, Chairperson, W.E.C., MIA and Shirin Seth Singh, Co-Chairperson, W.E.C., MIA interacted with Suman Singh , Assistant General Manager, SIDBI during the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by Rahul Priyadarshi, General Manager, SIDBI who informed that women often neglect their health and reach the doctor when it is already too late.

''It is important that women should have regular health check-ups. The GM appreciated the efforts being made by the Association to make such facilities available to members and employees. Suman Singh informed that Health Kits in cotton bags along with food packets were distributed to all the participants in the camp,'' Priyadarshi added.

Speaking on the occasion, Yogesh Sagar, President MIA said that such camps are being organised as part of MIA’s objectives for improving interaction between the members and their employees. It is also a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility and it will continue to be an annual feature.

Sagar also appreciated the efforts made by the team of doctors and lab technicians for making this camp successful.

Dr Natasha, General Physician and Dr Kanika from Fortis Hospital along with their technical staff conducted Bone Density test, Fasting Sugar, BP, Weight and general body checkup of 80 women employees.

Dr Ajinder Singh, Manager, Fortis Hospital appreciated the efforts made by SIDBI and Mohali Industries Association for holding this health checkup camp and for providing medical facilities to members and industry workers/ employees of MIA. The tests were completely free of cost courtesy Fortis Hospital Mohali.

Jagdeep Singh, Joint Finance Secretary and Iqbal Singh, Joint Secretary said that Free Eye Checkup camps as well as Free Orthopedic, Physiotherapy and Bone Health camp have previously been organised by the Association. The primary aim is to provide facilities to members and of the association. This is one of the benefits of being a part of the Mohali Industries Association.
