SIDBI-MIA set up CNC vocational centre for school dropouts

Mohali, July 20 (KNN) Mohali Industries Association (MIA) has set up a Centre for Computer numerically Controlled (CNC) Vocational Training in association with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to train school dropout students to make them skilled so that they can be absorbed by the industries.

Sanjeev Vashisht, President MIA informed that the Centre for skill development was planned two-three years ago. The project was taken forward with the support of Government of Punjab and SIDBI. The Association has been able to complete the project and begin training sessions at MIA Bhawan.

M.K.Raveesha -Business Head-1, SIDBI Mumbai inaugurated the SIDBI-MIA Centre for CNC Vocational Training.

Gagan Chhabra, General Secretary, MIA, said that the motto of the  team is Skilling and Indigenization. 

This centre is the first step towards providing skilled manpower to the industry. (KNN Bureau)
