SIPCOT to get truck terminal in industrial area

Chennai, Feb 11 (KNN) The Tamil Nadu government has proposed to set up a truck terminal in State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT) Industrial Park in Kancheepuram district on build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) basis.
The facility will to be created in an area of 14.68 acres under PPP mode, said a notification.
Towards this, the corporation has invited bids from registered entities to be service provider for the proposed project.
SIPCOT has rendered fruitful services to the state by identifying, developing, maintaining industrial areas in backward and most backward freeholders of the state, which had potential to grow.
It has also created industrial complexes and parks, strategically to ensure a good impact with the available limited resources. (KNN Bureau)
