Sitharaman unveils details of the PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan

New Delhi, June 18 (KNN) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today unveiled the details of the PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan.

She said livelihood opportunities will come up in 116 districts spread over six states who have received substantial numbers of migrants.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the rural public works scheme on June 20 from the district of Khagaria in Bihar.

A total of 25 works under government of India will be brought together in those districts where migrants have gone back and under these 25 schemes livelihoods will be given.

The total outlay projected is Rs 50,000 crore. These will be done in 125 days.

Government will front load the money allocated for these 25 schemes in these 116 districts. The mandays will be used to create assets.
