Skill India’s first ever placement ceremony of retiring IAF personnel being held today

New Delhi, Apr 27 (KNN) Skill India’s first ever placement ceremony of retiring Indian Air Force personnel through skill certification is being organized here today.

The retiring IAF personnel are being handed over the skill certification conforming to the National Skill Qualification Framework.

A valedictory function is being organized for the course in Air Force Auditorium, New Delhi. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will be the Chief Guest at the function and Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Rajiv Pratap Rudy will be the Guest of Honour.

The Ministry of Skill Development and the Defence Ministry had signed a Memorandum of Understanding in July 2015 to partner for various skill development initiatives. A Skill Development Course is being conducted for Air Warriors going on superannuation and retirement in near future.

The partnership between the two Ministries envisages to skill 60,000 retiring defence personnel every year. (KNN Bureau)
