SME has majority voice in NASSCOM executive council election

New Delhi, Mar 22, (KNN) The Small and Medium Enterprises had majority representation in the election of an 18 member executive council for the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) held recently. 

A statement from the industry body said, “The elections received an overwhelming response with over 582 members voting for the candidates of their choice.  Over 70 per cent of the members who voted for the elections were SME members of Nasscom.”

The newly elected executive council  is now represented by  Chief Executive Officers of Alcatel Lucent India, Capgemini India , NIIT Technologies Ltd, Accenture Services, Infotech Enterprises , Microsoft, Satyam , Dell , Cisco , Mind Tree , Larsen & Toubro , Hewlett Packard, Cognizant Technology So, Google , Quatrro , Wipro Technologies, Infosys and IBM .
 
The members have been elected for a period of two years from 2013-15.
 
NASSCOM was set up in 1988 to facilitate business and trade in software and services and to encourage advancement of research in software technology. (KNN)
