Solar conference for development and deployment of solar energy technologies

New Delhi, Dec 27 (KNN) The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is organising a solar conference with an objective to discuss various regulatory and policy issues relating to development and deployment of solar energy technologies in the country, so as to evolve the implementable solutions.

Solar India Conference is to be held on January 7, 2015 at Suryavanshi Mahal hall, ITC Rajputana, in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The conference will discuss key issues like National Solar Mission and solar policy, ultra mega' GW-scale solar projects, grid interactive solar power projects, decentralized and off-grid solar applications, financing of solar power projects,  net metering,  case studies of states, revival of RPO, best EPC and O&M practices and technology transfer:  to make cost competitive solar manufacturing.

It will also help in enabling provisions for the investors for solar technology penetration both at centralized and distributed mode.

Various entities including national and international solar companies, policy makers and administrators,  state government agencies, managers from private and public sector units, solar energy service providers, engineering and construction companies,  project developers,  equipment manufacturers,  technology providers, financial institutions, legal experts, environmental consultants, logistic service providers and  academic institutions will be participating in the event.

They will be provided a platform for accessing the latest information on current and future outlook of the solar energy sector, gaining the latest insight on the key policy and regulatory issues and innovations and developments in solar energy.

The event will also provide them opportunity in interactive panel discussions tackling some of the most pressing issues facing the industry, building partnerships and identify investment and meaningful networking opportunities with leading industry leaders and policy makers.

The Union Budget for 2014-15 has given major impetus to solar energy generation by according high priority to this sector, as the government is upscaling the target of National Solar Mission from 20,000 MW in 2022 to 1,00,000 MW by 2020. (KNN/ST)
