New Delhi Jan 16 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s one of the most ambitious project Start-Up India has been launched by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi Delhi today.

Speaking at the the opening session of ‘Start-up India’ movement, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday said the campaign will help change conventions while the government will only be a facilitator for start-ups.

“ PM’s own idea was that start-ups need to be encouraged. Both the banking system and government will make the resources available. We are fully conscious of the adverse situation in which we are struggling to keep respectable growth rates in Indian economy,” Jaitley said at the launch event.

The event will be attended by CEOs and founders of top Start-ups from across the country and abroad.  It will feature a virtual exhibition, interaction with Start-up entrepreneurs and release of a Start-up Action Plan, after which the PM will address the gathering.

The Prime Minister's arrival at the venue will be preceded by a day-long workshop on start-up entrepreneurship, which shall include panel discussions on various aspects of the subject.

The event will also feature interactive talks with global leaders and venture capitalists such as Mr. Masayoshi Son (Founder and CEO, SoftBank) and Mr. Adam Nuemann (Founder, WeWork). (KNN Bureau)
