Indian Startup Association Urges Simplified Audits to Boost Jharkhand’s Startup Growth

Ranchi, Oct 23 (KNN) The Indian Startup Association (ISUA) held a consultation meeting with senior officials from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India in Ranchi to discuss ways to simplify audit and compliance processes for startups in Jharkhand.

Led by ISUA National President Rathin Bhadra and National Treasurer Raja Bagchi, the delegation presented key suggestions to make financial audits more startup-friendly and reduce compliance burdens for early-stage ventures.

The meeting focused on easing financial reporting norms, ensuring transparent evaluation of government-supported programs, and integrating startup-specific indicators into public procurement and audit systems.

The ISUA also emphasized the need for collaboration between audit authorities and startup bodies to promote financial literacy and accountability.

Representatives from ASSOCHAM and senior officials from the Accountant General’s Office attended the meeting, contributing to the discussion on building a more inclusive regulatory environment.

Speaking at the event, ISUA President Rathin Bhadra said, “India’s startup ecosystem thrives when compliance becomes a partner in growth, not a barrier. Our joint engagement with CAG marks a step toward an accountable yet enabling governance framework.”

The association believes these efforts will help Jharkhand’s emerging startups navigate compliance with greater ease, while maintaining financial transparency and governance standards.

The dialogue marks a growing recognition of the startup sector’s contribution to economic growth and the need to align regulatory frameworks with entrepreneurial realities.
